Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has today revealed how Tanzania President Samia Suluhu was kept waiting for two days by the Kenya Kwanza government.
Speaking on Tuesday, the ODM party leader said that the Tanzania President had come to Nairobi to mediate between the government and opposition but she was frustrated and left the country.
“Many eminent persons both local and international have tried to mediate between Azimio and Ruto’s side but they have been kept at bay by Kenya Kwanza. Two weeks ago, Mama Suluhu Samia came to Nairobi to try & mediate but she was kept waiting for 2 days & went back” said Raila

According to Hon. Raila Odinga, the economy of the country is hurting and the government does not care about the common, a situation that Azimio could have handled it better if they were in power.
“Economy is hurting, not because of demonstrations but because of the bad policies by Kenya Kwanza… they don’t care about the common people. Azimio would have handled situations in the country differently to the satisfaction of Kenyans” he said
Raila was speaking a day after they called off planned Wednesday countrywide protests and instead called on Kenyans to light candles in honor and remembrance of those killed by police officers.
