FIFA President Gianni Infantino has on Tuesday confirmed that the 2034 World Cup will be held in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking after the news, the FIFA President noted that football unites the world and the World Cup is a perfect message of unity and inclusion.

“Football unites the world like no other sport, World Cup is perfect showcase for a message of unity and inclusion” he said “Different cultures can be together” said Infantino
The news comes barely hours after Saudi Arabia remained the only country to bid to host the 2034 World Cup. Australia who were in contention confirmed that they will not bid to host the event.
“Saudi Arabia are the only nation proposing to host World Cup 2034, FIFA statement confirms. Australia confirmed they will not bid for the tournament as deadline to register interest ends today.” said Fabrizio Romano
