A Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) elder on Homa Bay has shocked many after stabbing to death fellow elder at the altar over suspected love triangle.
35-year-old Francis Opiyo, a church elder of Ebeneza SDA church was fatally stabbed infront of the congregation on Saturday.

The incident is reported to have occurred after the victim had finished delivering the summon and was planning to hand over to a felloe elder at the church.
Armed with a knife hidden in his Bible, the suspect approached the alter before stabbing him on the left side of his chest forcing him to collapse. He was however confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Confirming the incident was Suba South Sub County Police commander Caxton Ndunda who said that they have the suspect in custody as he urged residents to resolve issues amicably instead of resorting to murder.
The body of the deceased has been moved to St Camillus Hospital Mortuary in Sori Town, Migori County.
