The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives have a senior Turkana County official over fake degree certificate.
Mr. Charles Ekai Erukundi is reported to have forged a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree so as to land the Deputy Director, Resource Mobilization at the county government.
“The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) arrested a senior Turkana County official on Tuesday for using a forged degree certificate to secure a job in 2018.

Investigations revealed that Mr. Charles Ekai Erukundi faked a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree to land the role of Deputy Director, Resource Mobilization at Turkana County Government.” said EACC
He was arraigned at Lodwar Magistrate Court where he was charged with forgery, uttering a false document, and fraudulently obtaining Khs 3,961,672.05 in salary from December 2018 to May 2021.
“Arraigned at Lodwar Magistrate Court, he pleaded not guilty to charges of forgery, uttering a false document, and fraudulently obtaining Kes 3,961,672.05 in salary from December 2018 to May 2021. Hon. Evanson Ngigi, Lodwar Senior Principal Magistrate, granted him a Kes 500,000 cash bail. The case is set for mention on March 18, 2025.” said EACC
