Police in Kakamega have arrested seven women after they were caught producing adult content inside a house in Mwiyala Ward, Sheywe Sub-County.
The women who included a Ugandan national are reported to have been living a lifestyle of richness and contrast to what their peers live. Their behaviors also attracted the attention of neighbors who said was not good for the society.
“What these girls have done is portray a very bad image to young kids. Parents assume that their children are in school studying, only to receive such disheartening news of their involvement in such activities for quick financial gains,” said one resident
Some of the items recovered during the arrest were camera suspected to have been used to produce the explicit content and computers which will be used as exhibits if any information is retrieved.
Confirming the incident was Kakamega County Police Commander Joseph Kigen who said that the devices have been taken in for forensic analysis.
“The DCI is investigating this issue therefore we cannot give further information on the case before we are briefed on more by the Cyber Crime office because those devices have been taken for forensic testing to verify that they indeed partook in such activities,” said Kigen
A manhunt has also been launched to arrest their accomplices as residents call for complete dismantling of the group.
