President William Ruto has on Tuesday reshuffled Soipan Tuya and Aden Duale in their various ministries.
The amended list was read by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula who noted that Aden Duale has been moved from the Defense ministry to Environment with Soipan Tuya crossing over to the Defense docket.
Immediately after the news, the two Cabinet Secretaries took to social media to thank the President and promise to serve Kenyans.
“Eternally grateful to God for His favor! I thank HE President William Ruto for nominating me to serve as Cabinet Secretary Defence.. Upon confirmation, I will give it my all, in service to the people of Kenya,” said CS Tuya
“I am Grateful to President William Ruto for reassigning me from the Defence Ministry to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry. I look forward to serving in my new portfolio and ensuring focus is on sustainable environmental management, combating climate change, and promoting reforestation and conservation efforts.
Indeed, ‘And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows, but you do not know.’ – Quran 2:216.” Said Duale
Even though the news has caught many by surprise, a majority of the young Kenyans are still not pleased by the President’s decision to bring back some of the CSs that had been dismissed after anti-government protests.
The Parliament which resumed today is expected to vet the 11 nominees as Kenyans wait patiently for the President to announce the remaining nominees.
