South Korea lawmakers have voted to impeach interim President Han Duck-soo, two weeks after impeaching President Yoon Suk Yeol.
A total of 192 MPs voted in support of the motion which only only needed 151 votes to sail through through the floor of parliament.

Han Duck-soo who is the country’s Prime Minister took over power following the failed attempt to impose martial law by President Yoon Suk Yeol on 3rd December 2024.
Things turned sour for the acting President after he was accused by the Legislators of failing to complete the impeachment process of then President Yoon.
Chaos erupted on Friday after the Speaker confirmed that the impeachment would require 151 votes unlike that of President Yoon that needed 200 votes.
MPs allied to Yoon and Han’s ruling People Power Party (PPP) protested as the news means that no votes from the ruling side would be needed to save him.
