Investigators probing suspended South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol were forced to halt the operation following a 7-hour standoff with his security detail.
The arrest is among the latest political crisis facing the country after it recently impeached the second President in less than a month.
The anti-corruption agency responsible for the investigations revealed that they were blocked from accessing his residence due to safety concern of its members.

“Serious regret about the attitude of the suspect, who did not respond to a process by law”. said the agency
For weeks now, President Yoon Suk Yeol has been evading the matter after his policies were questioned especially by parliament after imposing martial law and deploying security forces to that effect.
South Korean parliament however overturned the directive before investigations by the anti-corruption and public prosecution was opened.
