Super petrol, diesel and kerosene prices have dropped by Ksh 8.18, Kshs.3.54, and Kshs.6.93 per litre respectively.
Confirming the news was the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) who noted that the prices will be in force from 15th October to 14 November 2024.
“In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No.192 of 2022, we have calculated the maximum retail prices of petroleum products, which will be in force from 15th October 2024 to 14th November 2024.

Taking into account the weighted average cost of imported refined petroleum products, the changes in the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices in Nairobi are as follows; Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene decrease by KShs.8.18, KShs.3.54, and KShs.6.93 per litre respectively.
Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will now retail at Kshs.180.66, Kshs.168.06 and Kshs.151.39 respectively in Nairobi starting midnight.
The prices are inclusive of the 16% VAT in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 & the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.” said EPRA
