Suspect in death of five minors in Uasin Gishu confesses to murder

A suspect in the death of five minors at Mois Bridge area of Uasin Gishu County back in 2021 has confessed to the murder of one of the victims.

Evans Juma Wanjala confessed to the murder while appearing before Eldoret High Court on Monday where he admitted to killing 10-year-old Stacey Nabiso.

After the confession, Wanjala sought to enter into a plea agreement with the prosecution team.

Speaking at the court was Justice Reuben Nyakundi who granted his request for a plea agreement by adjourning the case for two weeks to pave way for the negotiations.

Back in 31st December 2019 Stacey Nabiso was reported missing before her body was found in January 2020 in Soweto estate.

Her discovery followed with the exhumation of five more bodies of minors in Mois Bridge area prompting a speedy investigation into the deaths.

An autopsy done on Nabiso’s body after it was exhumed revealed that samples collected from her underwear matched that of the suspect Wanjala.
