Diana Naliaka alias Saraha Nekesa Barasa the main suspect behind the murder of Kilifi County Government Blue Economy Chief Officer Rahab Karisa has been arraigned in court.
Appearing before a Kilifi court, prosecution side was allowed 14 days to detain her pending further investigation into the incident.
Diana who has been on the run since last week after the incident has been termed a flight risk thus the need to remain in custody.

“A Kilifi court has today allowed a prosecution application seeking to have the police detain for 14 days a domestic worker suspected of murdering Kilifi County Government Blue Economy Chief Officer Rahab Karisa to allow them to complete their investigation in the matter.
Principal Prosecution Counsel (PPC) Winnie Otieno told the court that police needed time to probe Diana Naliaka alias Saraha Nekesa Barasa, who has been on the run since last week.
According to the prosecution, the suspect has No fixed abode and is a flight risk. She will be detained at Kilifi police station pending further direction on 17 August 2023,” said ODPP
Rahab Karisa was stabbed to death at her house in Kilifi with the motive of the house help remaining unknown. She was found lying in a pool of blood inside her bedroom.
