The man who is linked to New Year’s incident in New Orleans where a truck drove into a crowd has been identified as Shamsud Din Jabbar.
The 42-year-old was at the time driving an electric Ford vehicle that he had rented from another 42-year-old man from Texas who is under the radar of the police for questioning.

Shamsud was however gunned down by the police after he rammed into the crowd and started firing after exiting the vehicle.
Ten people are confirmed to have died from the incident that the police have described as very intentional given that he drove through the crowd and started shooting.
