Tahmeed bus company breaks silence after grisly Mundika accident

Tahmeed bus company has issued a statement following Friday’s grisly accident at Mundika, Busia County.

In the statement, the company confirmed that at the time of the accident, the bus had six passengers and three crew members all of whom were rescued and rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

“Earlier today afternoon 1st March 1, 2024 our bus KCV 296R from Busia to Mombasa via Mumias has been involved in an accident at 1320hrs close to Mundika primary, onboard were 6 passengers and 3 crew member all of whom were successfully evacuated and taken to nearest hospital for treatment,” they said

They continued by promising to adhere to all road safety regulations as investigations into the accident continues.

“As Tahmeed we are committed to ensuring we adhere to all road safety regulations as such we are cooperating with the authorities as they conduct their investigations to try and unravel the cause of the accident, we wish all families affected quick recovery

For passengers who were to be picked in the next towns measures have been put in place to ensure you get to your destination in good time.” they said
