Tanzania Bishop Flavian Kassala has also join the move to defy Pope Francis decision to bless same-sex marriages in the Catholic Church.
Speaking on Monday during a Christmas mass, the Bishop noted that the decision was not contrary to morals but also against God’s covenant on matters marriage and precreation.
“Hakuna ndoa ya jinsia moja, ndoa ni moja tu. Ata katika mahangaiko yake ni uhusiano wa mke na mme – binadamu. Na sio binadamu na mnyama wa kike au binadamu wa kiume na mnyama wa kike,” he said

He continued by saying that it is much better if he blesses a stone than the dirty activities of those engaging in the acts.
“Na kama tumeshindwa kuyatenda hayo kwa wanyama, imegeuka sasa kati yetu na kupiga kelele jambo hilo lihalalishwe. na katika uchafu huo sasa tunaomba na tupewe na baraka…Ni bora unilitee jiwe nitabariki ukajenge nyumba imara kuliko hali hiyo tunapigania,” he said
