Tanzanian communication expert Maria Sarungi has been found alive hours she was abducted in Kilimani, Nairobi by unknown people.
Speaking after the ordeal, the media editor appreciated those who called for her immediate release promising to speak tomorrow after a proper rest.
“Mungu ni mwema! Nimepambana na ninyi mmepambana I am now safe many thanks to everyone and I will talk more tomorrow Nawapenda sana!” she said.

A few hours ago, Amnesty Kenya confirmed the abduction of Maria saying that she had been taken away by three armed men using a Noah.
Tanzanian independent media editor and human rights defender kidnapped by three armed men in a black Noah from Chaka Place, Kilimani, Nairobi, Kenya at 3.15pm today. Teams on site. Spread the word, let’s keep Maria safe.” they said
Kenyans took on social media condemning the incident especially at a time when young critics of the government have been abducted by unknown people. Some were released and others are still missing months after reports were filled.
Maria is a well known critic of President Samia Suluhu is reported to have been living in Kenya over fear that she could have been killed back home.
