This is why I have not attended demonstrations, reveals Raila

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has revealed why he has not been attending countrywide demonstrations.

Speaking with NTV, the ODM party leader revealed that he has a terrible flu that has kept him away but he is currently getting better after receiving the necessary medical attention.

“I have a terrible flu which put me down for a while and I got medical attention. I am currently getting better and I will be okay,” said Raila

The former Prime Minister who was answering to queries over his absence from the public urged Kenyans to turn up in large numbers on Friday saying that the demonstrations are on high cost of living affecting all Kenyans.

“Everything is okay. These protests are not for Raila,  Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua or Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka. This is for all Kenyans. They do not have to be present for the demonstrations to go on,” he said.

He continued by rubbishing rumours that the former President Uhuru Kenyatta was funding his demonstrations saying that those are lies from President William Ruto meant to catch the emotions of Kenyans.
