Three suspects have been arraigned at Milimani Law Court for the offense of Publication of False Information Contrary to Section 23 of Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act.
“Earlier today three suspects namely Arjun Chauhan Surya, Aftab Afzal Abass and Ajmal Amershi Karim were arraigned before the Chief Magistrates Court No. 5 at Milimani Law Court vide CR122/31/2024 Court File No. E090/2024 to take plea for the offence of Publication of False Information Contrary to Section 23 of Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act. No 5 of 2018.” said DCI
The suspects had gone into hiding after committing the offense as the complaint filed a reported at Parklands Police Station.
They were however released on Ksh 200,000 bond or a cash bail of Ksh 100,000 each with the case set for mentioning on 12th February 2024.
“The three suspects were arrested after officers from DCI Hqrs conducted an operation within Mombasa, Kitengela and Nairobi where the three suspects had gone into hiding after committing the offence which was reported by the complainant at Parklands Police Station.
The suspects pleaded not guilty to the charge and were released on Bond of Sh200,000 each and surety of similar amount or in the alternative Cash Bail of Sh100,000 and two contact persons. The case will be mentioned on 12th February, 2024 in Court 5 Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi.
