President Donald Trump has signed an executive order granting TikTok a 75 days extension to either sell it or face the ban as he had promised.
He continued by revealing that he will not enforce the law that had been approved by Congress and signed by President Joe Biden.
Speaking at the Oval Office after his inauguration ceremony, Trump revealed that every rich person has called him about TikTok. “I tell you what. Every rich person has called me about TikTok.” he said

He was then asked by a reporter why he had a change of heart, Trump revealed that it was because he had used it. “Because I got to use it.” he said
The Chinese-owned app stopped working on Saturday evening following directive that it was to face the ban on 19th January if it had not sold its shares to a U.S business person.
They however restored there services to the over 170 million American users after they were promised an extension to comply with President Donald Trump’s directive.
“In agreement with our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring service. We thank President Trump for providing the necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will face no penalties providing TikTok to over 170 million Americans and allowing over 7 million small businesses to thrive.
It’s a strong stand for the First Amendment and against arbitrary censorship. We will work with President Trump on a long-term solution that keeps TikTok in the United States.” read the statement by TikTok
