Two people have been arrested in Lower Yatta, Kitui County after they were found in possession of donkey meat.
Paul Ngige and Ahmed Chege were arrested in possession of 12 slaughtered donkeys at the homestead of one Wambua Nzioka within Yatta.

“Two people (Paul Ngige and Ahmed Chege) were arrested on January 21, 2024 by NPS Officers from Lower Yatta Sub-County after they were found in possession of 12 slaughtered donkeys at the homestead of one Wambua Nzioka within Katothya Village, in Kanyonyoo Location within Yatta.” said National Police Service
During the arrest, one motor vehicle was impounded as the suspects remain in police custody pending their date in court.
“One motor vehicle was also impounded during the raid. The suspects are in Police custody awaiting processing and arraignment.
