A Multi-agency team including officers from Mugutha Police Station and NGAO have arrested two drug traffickers and recovered 800 rolls of bhang.

The suspects, Tyson Mwai, 30, and Samson Gathuki, 21, were caught with their hands in the cookie jar during a targeted raid in Kimbo area. Authorities not only seized the rolls but also discovered a range of bhang packaged in sachets: 13 polythene sachets of 35 grams each, five sachets weighing 130 grams, 44 sachets of 16 grams, and two digital weighing machines, signalling a well-organized trafficking operation.
The duo is currently in police custody undergoing processing pending arraignment.” said DCI
In other news, detectives based in Moyale nabbed a motorcycle with registration number KMGM 369D as the rider managed to escape leaving behind a bag which contained twenty bales of bhang.
“Elsewhere, in Moyale, vigilant officers on patrol intercepted a motorcycle with registration number KMGM 369D, laden with two suspicious sacks. The rider abandoned the motorcycle and fled.
Upon inspecting the luggage, officers found twenty bales of bhang inside the sacks, totalling approximately 100kgs.
The recovered narcotics and motorcycle are securely detained as exhibits. Meanwhile, efforts to apprehend the trafficker who managed to evade capture are ongoing.” said DCI
