The United Democratic Alliance(UDA) Party has confirmed that departure of MP Mohammed Ali will not affect the party in any way.
Speaking on the news was Mombasa County UDA Secretary General Mutisya Wambua who said that they will not stop the vocal MP from decamping if he so wishes.

According to Mutisya, Mohammed Ali is a political tourist and that the statements he is issuing are part of plans to leave the party, something that he should stop disturbing the party.
“This person is a political tourist, tomorrow you might hear him claiming that he will vie for a seat in Isolo, the next time you will hear him saying that he will vie in Nairobi, and then Mombasa,” he said.
“We are willing to work together with him, but we are also inviting him to come and work with us, but if he is looking for another path, he should look for it silently and leave the UDA SG to do his job,” he continued
Mutisya continued by exuding confidence that the exit of Mohammed Ali will not influence other members to also decamp.
The statement follows concerns raised by the Nyali MP accusing the party of planning to deny him a ticket come 2027.
Ali noted that he is not afraid of battling it out as he was in another party before leaving and vied for the seat as an independent candidate and won.
“We have many options on the table. I came as a first-timer through independent; the second term, I came through UDA, and I am here telling him again that nothing is going to stop us from moving forward,” said Mohammed Ali
“If you think that the party is your property, we will go through other means; there are other means, there are other parties, and there is an independent party. That is what I told the secretary general of the party,” he continued
