Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has attended the burial of former senior assistant Inspector General of Police Zachary King’ori Mwangi in Tetu, Nyeri County.
The former President eulogized the former police boss as a man of integrity, leadership skills and dedication to service.
“Former President Uhuru Kenyatta joins fellow mourners at Ndugamano grounds in Tetu, Nyeri County for the burial service of retired Senior Assistant Inspector General of Police Zachary King’ori Mwangi.

The retired President eulogised King’ori as a man who exhibited great leadership skills, integrity, and dedication to service, an attribute which saw him rise through the ranks right from when he joined the Kenya Police Force in 1988 to his retirement in 2022 at his last posting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
King’ori died on Sunday, February 11 in a hospital in Nairobi where he had been admitted.” said his office
The Head of State also attended the burial of Lucy Muhinga, the wife to former Kipipiri Member of Parliament Hon. Amos Muhinga Kimunya passed on while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
“The former Head of State eulogised Lucy as a servant leader whose deeds touched on many lives both within and out of our borders. Kenyatta prayed for God to grant the family peace and comfort to bear the loss of their departed loved one.
The former MP, who also once served as a cabinet minister, described his departed wife as a pillar in his personal and political life who will be remembered for championing youth and women’s causes.
“She was a key pillar in both my personal and political life, she contributed immensely to making our society greener through various conservation measures. Go well our dear Lucy, we will deeply miss you,” said Kimunya.
Lucy, an environmentalist, passed on the 30th January 2024 while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital.” said his office
