Vanessa Ogema, the woman captured on camera abusing a staff at Port Victoria Hospital in Busia has surrendered to the police.
Vanessa surrendered on Sunday at Busia police station as she covered herself with a mask and a heavy hood and in the company of a unidentified man.
The incident as captured on camera saw Ogema abuse two hospital staff for failing to attend to her patient as threw documents and other items on the floor. She was in the company of unidentified man who joined her in the abuse.

Her actions angered Kenyans who demanded immediate action from the government to serve as an example to other Kenyans in the future.
Speaking after the incident, Health CS Susan Nakhumicha vowed to take action and also protect nurses in the country.
Also angered by the incident was Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists Dentists Union (KMPDU) Secretary General Davji Atellah who demanded for immediate legal action against the lady.
“This is rudimentary, illegal, and immoral. The attitude and action by politicians and their cronies to threaten healthcare workers at their place of work should be curtailed,” he said
On January 5th, staff at Port Victoria Hospital in Busia downed their tools in protest of the incident calling for immediate action. The strike saw patients leave the facility to seek medical attention in other facilities.
