Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has clarified to the public that the government is in no war with the church and that they are open to criticism.
Speaking on Sunday during a church service in Ndia, Kirinyaga County noted the importance of other voices and that they have no problem with them including civil societies in the country.

“We are in no war with the church, we recognise that as human beings we are not perfect. As such, we are open to criticism and feedback from the church, civil society and NGOs so that we can serve Kenyans better,” said Kindiki
He continued by confirming that the government is addressing the issue of health, CBC education and the cost of living as raised by the Catholic Bishops.
“We know the transition from NHIF to SHIF has teething problems which seem to be troubling Kenyans, same with the transition to CBC; the government is listening and is working on streamlining things,” he said.
