The High Court has on Friday issued a verdict saying that Moses Wetangula cannot serve as National Assembly speaker and Ford Kenya leader at the same time.
A three judge bench made the ruling on Friday saying that Moses Wetangula’s role at Ford Kenya conflicts with that he holds as the Speaker of Parliament.

They continued by saying that he seized to be the party leader of Ford Kenya after he was elected as the Speaker of National Assembly.
The news comes at a time when the court ruled that Kenya Kwanza was not the ruling party in Parliament as declared by Wetangula back in 2022.
They revealed that Azio la Umoja was the ruling party and that the Speaker had reassigned 14 MPs violating the constitution.
According to the court, Wetangula failed to prove his decision and that he lacked legality to make the reassignments.
