DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa has clearly made his stand that he will not join President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza’s government.
He continued by saying that he cannot take up any position within the government including that of the Cabinet Secretary or Attorney General for that matter.
According to the former Defense CS under former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration said that what he wants the current President cannot give him.

“What I want Ruto cannot give me. I cannot get a job in Ruto’s government. I don’t want to be one of his ministers, and I don’t want his money,” he said
Wamalwa termed the Attorney General position as a position below his calibar especially after he served it after the implementation of the 2010 constitution.
“The AG’s office was a department in my ministry when I served as Justice Minister during the implementation of the Constitution, how can it be that after being a minister, I be demoted to a departmental head?” he said
According to Eugene Wamalwa, the position he is after is that of the Presidency and Ruto cannot surrender it to him.
“What I am after, is that seat which Ruto is holding. Do you think he will surrender it to me, that is the only position I am seeking,” said Wamalwa.
