Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has joined a Liga side Barcelona where he is ready to challenge Marc-André ter Stegen for the position.
Speaking after the news, the Polish goalkeeper noted that he will respect coach Hansi Flick’s decisions on team selections.

“I’m here to replace ter Stegen and help Barça. If Flick decides to rely on ter Stegen, I will respect that”. he said
He continued by confirming how he was enjoying his vacation at the beach and playing golf before he was contacted by Barcelona, a request he could not decline given the name it holds.
A few months ago I was on the beach! When Barça called, I was playing golf with my son… and now I’m playing for one of best teams in Europe”. he said
“It’d have been impossible for me to think about winning big titles after retiring. But I love to win, I want to win”. he continued
