Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has confirmed his departure from the La Liga giants come the end of the season.
Speaking after the news, the Spaniard noted that things have to change at the club as he cannot allow the current situation.
“I want to announce that on June 30 I will no longer continue as the coach at Barça. I think the situation needs to change course, and as a culer, I cannot allow the current situation.” he said

He continued by saying that he has given everything for the club and he will continue to prioritize it to make the fans proud of Barcelona.
“I’ve been a man of the Club. I’ve prioritized it above even myself. I’ve given everything I have. And I will continue to do so to make the fans feel proud.” he said
The news of Xavi’s departure comes hours after his side was beaten 5-3 by league strugglers Villareal on Saturday at the Nou Camp.
In what was the worst result of the year, the results left them in third position with 44 points, ten points behind league leaders Real Madrid who defeated Las Palmas.
